The NATURE 2002 is the flagship of the Boatti family
It's a special cuvée, extremely refined, dedicated to the founder of the house, Carletto Boatti. Blanc de Pinot Noir from an extraordinary vintage like 2002, left on the lees for over 10 years and disgorged in December 2012. Besides being a wine of great substance and creaminess, it's the last wine from Monsupello entirely crafted by Carlo Boatti, sourced from grapes harvested in crates and pressed in a Willmes press, using exclusively 50% free-run juice. Today, there are only 1280 bottles left of this magnificent vintage, numbered on the label and sold in limited series to enthusiasts and collectors of great bubbles. Beyond its material value, the NATURE 2002 holds historical and emotional significance, representing the foresight that the Boatti family had regarding the production of unoaked Oltrepò Pavese Pinot Noir; today, Monsupello's sparkling wines have become an important reality, appreciated, sought after, and frequently awarded by the most important national journalistic publications.
Wine profile
Color: golden straw yellow, with elegant coppery reflections.
Perlage: fine and persistent, with a very soft foam.
Aroma: wide and rich nose, with hints of red fruits, medicinal herbs, wildflowers, tones of vanilla, and licorice.
Taste: powerful and deep, savory and mineral, it has fruity pulp and above all a lively core and beautiful acidity to support the creamy effervescence.
Food pairing:
The elegant minerality and creaminess make it perfect as a meditation wine. However, it is also suitable for accompanying entire meals based on fish and shellfish or white meats.
